How can I connect to and control my Orbii from anywhere?
You can connect Orbii with your home WiFi than Orbii connects to our Cloud service via secure connection, and you can connect to the clound service to monitor your home and drive it around
Can Orbii go upstairs or downstairs?
No, you will have to buy multiple units for a multistory house.
How does Orbii drive and move?
By shifting center of gravity inside the ball like a hamster ball.
How much is the drive time on a single charge?
One hour, but while its charging on the dock it can still pan, tilt and stream the video along with data.
Can Orbii roll itself of Charging Dock?
Not autonomously, but user can drive it on the charging dock using smart phone or tablet
What is the camera resolution on Orbii?
720p High Definition
When driving how does the video remains straight?
The Gyro Accelerometer and Magnetometer sensors, tell camera when to stream frames or video. It only streams video when lens is facing in the direction it is heading, but when Orbii is stationary or panning it would stream the video at 30 frames per second.
What is stopping someone from using my Orbii to spy on me in my own home?
We added an extra layer of protection with tokens and keys to further secure the encrypted data transfer between device to cloud and cloud to device.
I already have a security system as well as carbon monoxide sensors, why do I need this?
Security Sensors are only able to detect breaches in your home’s perimeter (doors, windows, ect.) Orbii is able to maintain the integrity of the interior of the home.
When a Carbon Monoxide detector goes off in your home, all it will do is make a loud noise. If no one is home, then the alarm is pointless. In the event that Orbii detects Carbon Monoxide, it will automatically contact you via text, allowing you to respond accordingly.
Is Orbii meant to replace my security system?
Not right now. Orbii at this stage of development is intended to augment existing security, or provide a degree of security for those who cannot afford modern systems.
What happens if Orbii gets stuck somewhere?
Orbii has a little shaking function (Activated by Double Tapping on joystick) which will knock itself free.
Does the Orbii come in different colors?
Orbii is always in White color, but there would be different color skins/wraps available to change style and color of Orbii
I don’t want my Orbii snooping around my bedroom; can I tell it to stay out?
There is a machine learning algorithm on our cloud service, but it may not be enabled in first generation of the Orbii, but with software update we will enable it in the near future. which will map the rooms and prevent it from going into specific areas.
Can the Camera detect anomalies in dark?
Yes but not in Pitch Dark
What happens if my Orbii stops working or breaks?
The product comes with 1 year limited warranty for any manufacturing defaults. Any type of accidental damage will not be covered under the warranty. In case of problems or issues you can contact our customer service department and they will be happy to assist you.
Can multiple devices connect to Orbii?
Yes, anyone who has user name and password can connect to Orbii at anytime.
Can Orbii operate outdoors?
Short answer, Yes. Orbii operates more effectively on smooth surfaces, but it has the ability to roll on paved surface or but not on grass.
How will Orbii receive software updates?
Once an update is available, it will pushed to each device over the air from our servers automatically.
What comes default on Orbii? How do I purchase other modules?
Basic model includes HD camera, speaker and microphone. All additional sensors and attachments are available for purchase on our website.
Does Orbii record the video it streams to my phone?
Yes it can record for limited time on the on-board memory and it can also record on our cloud service
Wouldn’t it get dirty from rolling around on the ground?
It is advisable to use protective sleeve/skin around Orbii which makes it durable, dust and water resistant.
